Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a limit on how many PDFs I can merge?
No hard limit — you can merge as many PDFs as your browser's memory allows. Very large or numerous files may take a moment to process.
Does merging PDFs reduce quality?
No. This tool combines PDFs by appending pages from each file. The content (text, images, fonts) is not re-encoded, so there is no quality loss.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
If a PDF is encrypted with an open password, you will need to unlock it first using the PDF Unlock tool. Once the PDF can be opened normally, it can be merged.
Are my PDFs secure during the merge?
Yes. All processing happens locally in your browser using pdf-lib. Your PDF files never leave your device and are never uploaded to any server.
